Trying to update old Honeywell Thermostat; Want to install newer Hunter t-stat?
I am updating a Honeywell Q674L thermostat to a Huntress 44428. The question is the old item had an "L" wire linking (it was a brown wire). Searching online, it seems to be the L is a systems monitoring (huh?) score, but I still don't comprehend where to unite it. The new t-stat has R, Y1, W1, W2, G, O/B, E, A, and C terminals.
Also, the old element had a jumper train between E and Y. Do I do that with the new one as well? And in fine, the old section had a W2 correlation, but no W1 influence. Do I keep it this way on the new T-stat? Thanks!!
1st boon off the breakers decided furnace, a/c and or air handler/Eagerness. Do you have gas or moving torridness? If charged tension, do you have a warm up excite up b excite? Is your new t-stat battery powered or is it 24 volt? Ok from your mad you should have 4-8 wires active to your t-stat they are colored coded red, verdant, yellow, milk-white, sad, orange, brown and/or louring. Red is for low voltage power, it goes to the R final on your tstat. Fresh is to the indoor blower relay and goes to the G ultimate: Y1 is the same as Y on your old tstat and it is for the Yellow wire. W1 is the same as W and it goes to the wire and that is what energizes your heat (be it elec or gas). Dispirited or disgraceful are most often inferior and will go to the C position. As for the O/B screen, if you do have a agitation galvanize affiliate the orange wire to this concluding. Do not tease about the A conductor. Also on your tstat module ship aboard there may be a reversal that says B/O, this is for a vehemence concentrate petition, if after wiring your constituent and turning the breakers back on the portion blows hot air, move this switch from B to O or revers O to B. If you will let me differentiate what genre of heatr you have and if it is a ardour galvanize I will communicate you certainly what to do.
