BRK Smoke and Carbon Dioxide Alarm ?

I have a BRK Smoke and Carbon Dioxide Alarm. I would like to know how does the alarm alerts you when it detects Carbon Dioxide? I am just a bit confused.

Sadly it never will. These combos are useless. Smoke rises and requires the detector to be high on the wall or ceiling. Carbon dioxide is heavier than air and will settle near the floor. Just don't make sense huh? I like the plug in carbon dioxide detectors because the are at sleeping height.
